  • LoanCare error with escrow payments

Beware of Freedom Mortgage as they allow LoanCare to handle their mortgage payments. LoanCare is extremely inept and rude customer services reps are not capable of solving problems or providing info, just to threaten. Although the annual insurance premium was paid in full from the closing attorney, LoanCare sends it again and without any notification, significantly increases our mortgage payment within the first 45 days. Spent hours "on hold" and continually told to call back in a few days. I have the canceled check proving the closing attorney paid the insurance but both LoanCare... More...

  • FM is saying March 2014 payment not received.

However. it cleared by checking account on March 5, 2014. I am deaf. Thus, my mother has been in contact with Customer Service. For privacy issues, I have gotten on the phone to authorize discussions of my account with FM several times. Now, 04/10/14, FM will not talk to my mother. I sent copies of checks and bank stmts certified in March 2014 with the April 2014 payment. FM posted April mortgage to March mortgage, I receive my source of income on the 20th of each month. I immediately tender subsequent mortgage. I am receive late notices. I sent letter overnight with supporting... More...

Freedom Mortgage took two payments out of my account at one time. I was told that it would take 78 hours to get this fixed. This of course locked my checking account making it back up all my other bills. They were not very willing to help or take this situation into consideration especially when it was their fault.... A month later I am still dealing with this issues and keep getting bounced around because not one person can fix the issue. I now have been dealing with all the same people. The loan/ debit collectors are NASTY and very rude!!!!!!! Please go through another company to save... More...

  • Total waste of time.

Freedom Mortgage is a total waste of time. If I had the money, I would sue them. I contacted FM June 6, 2013. I gave the loan officer (Allan) all info, and permissions. We (so he said) locked in a rate of 3.5%. Two weeks later another rep from FM contacts me needing my homeowners insurance information. No problem. After another week or so, I am contacted to get payoff information. Done. Next, they needed me on the phone with the credit agencies. No problem. We are now in July and they are telling me they need ME to pay $401.00 to keep my rate locked. I say, okay, let's get this done... More...

  • VA Refinance Nightmare

Started my refinance paperwork June 2013, had a rate lock of 3.75% for VA refinance. It is not August 2013, 60 days have passed, and my rate lock agreement has expired. I have dealt with 3 different people processing my loan application. Each time I've sent documentation via electronic mail, and immediately submitted necessary documents within 24 hrs. One week prior to my rate lock agreement expiring, I received an email from the third freedom mortgage loan processor who requested more documents for underwriting to review, and even documents that were previously submitted. After... More...

Be forewarned. Freedom Mortgage is not a Mortgage company. They are a provider of information. They do not directely give you a loan. When I first contacted Freedom, I gave them the following info. five years ago I was forced into bankruptsy by Country Wide Mortgage , a bunch of thieves that the goverment finally closed down, I also gave them my address, that I lived in Villages of Oreo in Delray Beach Florida, all olf my credit info. They said every thing looked good and there does not seem to be a problem, but they needed $ 375.00 for an apprasal before they could finalize the loan.... More...

  • stay away!! Worst refinance ever!!!

This is the worst refinance company ever. First day I was suppose to close nobody showed up and the company did not even call. I had to call them and was told a paper didnt come in but I guess it was not important for them to let me know that after I took off work and waited all day! The second time I was suppose to close I closed that afternoon the next day they called me at 1 pm to ask how it went and I told them it went good and then at 3pm they called and told me I was gonna have to close again because once again they did not get all the papers! The third time I closed we closed but... More...

  • Worst ever

Freedom Mortgage contacted me to refinance my home over 6 weeks ago. Since then they have been constantly calling me and emailing me prompting me to return preliminary documents they sent me in order to get the refinance started. I have repeatedly told them that most of the information on the documents they sent is incorrect., INCLUDING THE ADDRESS OF THE PROPERTY TO BE REFINANCED! They refuse to provide me with documents that are correct but continue to harass me to sign and return the incorrect documents. I should not be expected to sign documents stating that I will subsequently owe... More...

  • Poor customer service from Freedom Mortgage

I recently re finance my home to freedom mortgage from wells fargo bank. I used to get excellent customer service from Wells fargo. Wells Fargo send me a check for my escrow balance and I authorize FM to withdraw the money from my bank. Since last two months the money is sitting in the bank. I called the customer service today and I was holding the phone over 1 hr and 10 min. to talk to someone about this issue. OMG I made a wrong choice. I never recommend this company anyone. Please dont refinance your home with this company. I dont know what I am going to face in the future. Extreme poor... More...

  • Beware of Freedom Mortgage

Freedom, which uses loancare to handle your account is borderline loan sharks. They never return phone calls. I'm on the phone with them almost daily. I was forced to refi with another bank and happy to have done it. And, ofcourse they fee'd me to the tune of 1700 dollars...not to mention the 5 bi-weekly payments they seem to have lost. I'm sure they'll figure it out sooner or later ...but meanwhile i get treated like crap while they keep dodging my calls. They are rude most of the time and no one is able to answer a simple question. yourself alot of... More...

  • Loan

I refinanced my 5% fixed rate mortgage and 7.25% fixed rate second mortgage into a 7.875% fixed rate with Freedom Mortgage Corp. Shame on me, shame on them. I, too, was quoted fees that varied tremendously from the final and was told by my loan officer that some fees would be refunded after closing. Well, after closing, the loan officer told me his manager would not approve the refunds because he had abused his discretion too many times. Ha-whatever. I knew better and should have run with my gut instinct. So, my monthly outlay increased, though I did "consolidate" some... More...

Freedom Mortgage will lead you to believe that your payments will be lowered by lowering your interest rate. They will charge you a low (couple of hundred dollars) lock-in fee and close the mortgage in a matter of a week or so. They will email you and mail you disclosures and revised disclosures and packets of information for you to read before your closing (in a couple of days byt he time you receive everything). They will hire a notary to come to your home and close the mortgage. Your payment will look lower, but read your truth-in-lending statements and disclosures carefully. You are... More...

  • Bad

Freedom Mortgage failed to meet our written agreement through Flagship Financial. They fail to complete the closing four times, causing me to pay fees to my current mortgage bank, and at the end causing my locked interest rate with Freedom Mortgage to expire. Freedom mortgage was responsible for the delays, now they want me to pay for the rate I had originally locked with no buy down fee, because the interest are higher. They have pulled my credit several times to cause my credit score to go down because of too many inquiries. I lost a good opportunity to refinance with a good interest... More...

Became acquainted with Freedom through an internet inquiry into various forms of financing for an existing mortgage. After daily morning phone calls, on some day several calls a day I made a decision this was a company I did not want to engage in business with. Subsequently I was sent very insulting and condescending emails by the Cherry Hill, New Jersey branch manager. This is no way to run a business that should be customer oriented and on the look out for future business. After reading some of the "feedback" on this company and the "used car salesman" approach, I... More...

  • If you use these guys, be sure...

If you use these guys, be sure to double-check everything. I was admittedly inexperienced in the loan process, however was unmistakably mislead by this company. We have two kids and a mortgage...we needed a debt consolidation loan and we needed it badly. Their rep spoke over us when we tried to call him with questions, essentially drowning us in words until we were so mystified that we allowed him to end the call. We did manage to get the loan documents, which reflected what we'd spoken to them about (and our financial situation left us no choice), so we trusted them. Because of... More...
